Comments The movement of the (red-wine) curtains were from each side, so the entire curtain moved as it opened instead of gathering from the center out. They used black masking at the top of the screen during the prologues, so when the prologue-Cinerama transition took place, the screen appeared to grow in height as well. When the B booth was enlarged they removed the control box in front of the booth and any control equipment went into the balcony both where the sound was for three strip and prologue projector.  The same manager went to the Summit when the Summit opened, and he liked the Summit because it had straight-on projection (whereas the Music Hall Projectors were installed quite low, which meant all 70mm had the upper left/right corners masked off and looked awkward). A portion of the old Music Hall Curtains went to a small auditorium in Detroit for the Chamber of Commerce.  They paint the brick on the side of the Music Hall every 5-10 years because the large old painted sign of "Cinerama Music Hall" (with the Cinerama Logo) on the brick seems to bleed through.
